Sometimes I think I was born at the wrong time. 

I just watched Paving the Way: The National Park to Park Highway on PBS about a caravan of 12 motorists, men and women, in 1920 who set out on a 5,000 mile adventure to see 12 national parks. 

The cars averaged 65 miles per day on muddy or rutted dirt roads. 

I am humbled. Time for a roadtrip?
